Sunday, August 28 Highlights
— Rally Day
St. John’s begins the fall Sunday school schedule with a Rally Day celebration in McPhail Hall at 9 am. Everyone is invited whether or not you are planning to attend Sunday school fall classes. There are many activities – and you really won’t want to miss a special art project which will be displayed on our campus.
— Name Tag Sunday
What is it that was given to you, that still belongs to you, that you have never lent to anyone, but that is used by all the people you know? Answer: Your name. Evangelism Committee asks you to proudly display your name as you warmly greet everyone you meet with a smile.
— Blessing of the Backpacks
All students and teachers (primary, secondary and college) are invited to bring their backpacks to church for a “Blessing of the Backpacks” during worship at 10:30 am. How wonderful it is to know God goes with us always!
— Summer Brunch
The last brunch of the 2011 summer season will be held in McPhail with St. John’s Chancel Choir working in the kitchen. Don’t miss the fellowship and the great food.
