Tre-Ore Service, April 6

Ecumenical Tre Ore (Three-Hour) Service on Good Friday, April 6, from noon to 3 pm at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church (4930 W. Bellfort)

The service, during the traditional hours before Christ’s death, is in seven parts and focuses on Jesus’ words from the cross.

Noon – Introduction and “Father, forgive them…”

12:55 - “Women, here is your son…”

1:20 - “My God, My God…”
Pastor Matthew Vandagriff (Willow Meadows Baptist Church)

1:50 - “I am thirsty.”
Chaplain Stephen Martin (VA Medical Center/ELCA)

2:15- “It is finished.”
Rector Gena Davis (Grace Episcopal Church)

2:35 - “Father into your hands…”
Pastor Tommy Williams (Westbury United Methodist Church)

Worshipers may come and go between the parts.
