Organizational Meeting
for Men’s Group: All interested men are invited to the Session Room today,
11:45 am, to plan St. John’s
new Men’s Group.
Presbyterian Women
Bible Study, Tuesday, January 7: The PW Circle will meet Tuesday in Room
205 studying Lesson 5, God Provides
(Exodus 15:22-18:27). All women are invited to join the Bible study, led by
Rev. Linda Herron, from 9:30 – 11 am.
Flower Calendar: Please sign your name on the Flower Calendar in
the Narthex to reserve your special Sunday for giving flowers in the Sanctuary
for 2014.Needed are flowers for the upcoming January 19 and 26.
Committee Chairs: End
of the year reports are needed for the Congregational Report. Please email to the church office, office.sjpc@gmail.com.
All-Committee Day,
Saturday, January 11: Gather in McPhail Hall at 8:30 am for a continental
breakfast followed by committee meetings. The January 2014 Session meeting will
follow.
Annual Meeting of the
Congregation, January 12: St. John’s
will meet for the annual Congregational Corporation meeting following the
worship service in the Sanctuary.
Book Review Club: Everyone is welcome to attend St. John’s Book
Group which will meet in January to discuss Killing
Jesus by Bill O’Reilly and Martin Dugard. If you are interested please read
about a third to half of the book and watch for the meeting date. The
discussion meeting will be in the end of the January. Please contact Dan

Calling all Smiling Servants of the Lord: Come and join the Usher
teams for the months of February, March, April and May. Dedicate one Sunday
each month to serving the Lord as an usher during our worship service. Ask a
friend to sigh up with you for the same Sunday. Sign up sheets will be
available in the Narthex beginning in January 2014. Start the New Year with a
resolution to get involved and to share your smile.
Wonder Team: The Wonder Team meets twice a month, 2nd
and 4th Wednesday evenings, at 6 pm in McPhail hall to make
sandwiches for hungry children. Please join us in this effort (in January the
Wonder Team will meet on January 8 & 22). And if you can’t join, please
contribute your paper grocery bags to hold the sandwiches when they are
transported back to Kids’ Meals headquarters.
