Faith Summit, Thursday August 12: Did you know that Houston is ranked among the lowest in the nation in caring for our children? The Faith Summit, kicking off A Week of Prayer for Children and Youth (August 15-21), will provide up-to-date information on the issues and current needs of at-risk children; it will highlight practical ways to respond, and it will mobilize prayer for the children of our city. Backpack Blessing, August 22: All returning students and teachers of all ages are invited to bring their backpacks or briefcases to worship in celebration of the beginning of the new school year.

Supplies Needed for Haiti: Leonie Tchoconte will be traveling to Haiti this month with ChristChurch for JeLe and is collecting construction paper, children’s scissors, hand liquid soap (few), paper towels, small staplers, handwashable paint and small clear drink cups (not medicine cups). A collection box will be outside the church office.
