2012 Mustard Seed Project

Participants Needed

The idea of the Mustard Seed Project is simple, yet it has the power to change the world by planting seeds of hope and compassion for people of all ages in Houston.

For this project, a person will be asked to use $100 to help a person or a group of people in his/her community through a simple act of kindness. The Faith in Action Committee hopes the "seed" money will plant feelings of inspiration in the lives of people living without hope, cultivate benevolence among humans and ultimately, grow God’s Kingdom. The Mustard Seed Project begins this month and will finish by the end of August 2012.

If interested please contact Tom and Claire MacAdam at 713-729-2470.

He replied, "Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." Matthew 17:20

Join the Kroger Neighborhood to Neighborhood and Help Braes Interfaith Ministries

Thank you to all shoppers who participated in 2011-2012 Neighborhood to Neighborhood program period. BIM (Braes Interfaith Ministries) received a check for $112! This program runs in a ten-month program year. If you’re a linked up member of this program, you must link again beginning in June. This is also a wonderful time to become part of this program for the first time.

Steps to Link your Kroger Plus card with Braes Interfaith Ministries barcode number (#90528).
1. Take this barcode number with you to Kroger.
2. One time only at the service desk or the cash register show your
Kroger Plus card and the barcode number and have them "linked" together.

You can check the results very easily. After June 30, your Kroger cash register tape will show information on the BIM number 90528 in the Neighbor to Neighbor program. As you go through the cash register with your Plus Card, cash benefits will accrue, and May 2013 Kroger will send a check to BIM.
