June 22 Sunday Morning Highlights

Today we welcome Joseph Fuller to St. John’s: He holds advanced degrees in piano and has worked with some of the world’s finest opera houses, children’s choruses, and universities in the United States. Joseph’s second studio album, “Abide With Me,” was released in 2011. It takes the listener through the music of a church service from preludes, hymns, anthems and postludes. It provides joy, deep reflection, peace, and restoration. He maintains an exciting schedule of solo and accompanying engagements. His albums are available on iTunes, Amazon, independent radio stations, and Pandora Radio.

Summer Brunch Today: Everyone is invited to McPhail Hall for brunch after Worship. Today’s brunch is catered by our own Kristi Edmonsond. A donation to cover the cost is appreciated. Everyone is welcome.

Presbyterian Youth Fellowship Today: Youth (grades 6-12) are invited to join us for cupcakes! We will leave after Sunday’s brunch to go to Sprinkles for a yummy treat! Would you try Summer Cherry or Salty Caramel? Peanut Butter Chip or Vanilla? Bring money (cupcakes are $3.50 plus tax) and a friend. Contact Mary at mary2d@yahoo.com or 713-723-6262 for more information.

Kroger Neighbor to Neighbor Program: Have you linked your Kroger Plus card with Braes Interfaith Ministries yet? It’s easy and fast – bring the barcode (#90528) to a Kroger register or service desk. They can link it to your Plus Card – so every time you shop, BIM will benefit. If you linked your card last year, you must link again.

Mustard Seed: Don’t miss your chance to take part in this wonderful project using “seed” money which will give hope and cultivate benevolence among people and ultimately grow God’s Kingdom. A person will be asked to use $100 to help a person or a group of people in his/her community through a simple act of kindness. If interested please contact Tom and Claire MacAdam at 713-729-2470.

Delicious Peace Coffee Available: St. John’s has organic and free trade coffee from the
Peace Kawomera Fair Trade Coffee Cooperative, Uganda. See the bookcase outside the
church office to make your selection and place your payment in the can provided.
