February 16 Sunday Highlights

Children’s/Youth Choir: All children and youth are invited to Room 209 for rehearsal today. We will be working on our next anthem “The Lord God Made Them All.”

Women’s Bible Study, Today: The Bible Study Circle will meet today in Room 205 studying Lesson 6 Becoming a Holy People (Exodus 19: 3-6; 24:3-8, 15-18; Deuteronomy 7:7-9). All women are invited to join the Bible Study, led by Rev. Linda Herron at 11:45 am.

Book Group, Thursday, February 20, 7:30 pm: Come enjoy our final discussion on Killing Jesus by Bill O’Reilly. It is an easy read and explains many “historical” points of interest. Bring an idea for our next book, maybe something to do with Noah’s Ark, the Ark of the Covenant or a Lenten topic.  –Dan Herron

An Invitation from St. John’s Men’s Fellowship: All men are invited to our next meeting, Thursday, February 27. Please gather in the Session Room, 205, at 7 pm with a formal meeting beginning at 7:30 pm.

Braes Interfaith Ministries (BIM): BIM had begun accepting clothing again. Please deliver to their office, 4300 West Bellfort, Mondays, Wednesday and Friday mornings, 9 – 12 pm. Household items, knick-knacks, etc, can not be accepted until a new location is found for the Resale Store. The clothing will be distributed to clients on the last Saturday of February. Volunteers are needed to help distribute the clothing, 9 am – 1 pm, Feb. 22. If you can help, please contact Eloy Montez at 713-255-7032.
