Anchor House Church Apartment Ministry

The anchor houses are wearing well. We have some long-term tenants, and they all seem to be doing well with their treatments. We pray all our tenants continue to do well.

One of the apartments got a new sofa bed and recliner. Waiting for AT&T to come and install the internet and U Verse, I sat on the old sofa for about 8 hours and deemed it necessary to purchase a new sofa bed PDQ.

It is our goal next year to be able to help with the rent for our deserving new tenants. While answering phones at South Main we have talked to several prospective tenants who can’t afford our apartments even though our rents are cheaper than a motel. We do realize that it is very difficult to maintain their home and their home-away-from-home here in Houston. The ministry is not subsidized by our church budget. We maintain the apartments solely on donations. I hope many of you will visit our booth at The Living Gift Market on Sunday, November 22.
