St. John's Weekly Reminders
St. John’s Sock Trees: Two Christmas trees (one in the Narthex and one outside the church office) are in need of their holiday decorations – socks! Children’s socks infant to kindergarten size are needed, or let Joan Navratil shop for you.
Flower Calender: Please sign your name on the Flower Calendar in the Narthex to reserve your special Sunday for giving flowers in the Sanctuary for 2010.
St. John’s Office Holiday Schedule: St. John’s offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday, December 31 and January 1, for New Year’s.
St. John’s Breakfast, Saturday, January 9: A podiatrist, Dr. Rodney Croft, D.P.M., will be the featured speaker with breakfast served at 8:30 am. Please mark your calendar because January’s breakfast is meeting on the second Saturday of January. If you need a ride, contact Linda Dobbin or Thalia Bunnell.
Betty Smith Memorial Service, Saturday, January 9, 2 pm: Betty’s church family is invited to join her family and friends for a memorial service and reception.
Attention 2009 Ministry Moderators: The Annual Ministry Team Reports are due in the church office by Sunday, January 17. These reports will be distributed at the January 24 Congregational meeting.
Annual Meeting of the Congregation, Sunday, January 24: St. John’s will meet for the annual Congregational/Corporation meeting on Sunday, January 24, following the worship service in the Sanctuary.
KEEP THE PENNIES COMING (Pennies for Peace) At the Living Gift Market there were 30,160 pennies collected ($316.00) for schools in Pakistan. The penny jar is outside the church office, Building II.
