Looking up to God - Stewardship Season Begins
Stewardship is thankfulness to God expressed by sharing our financial gifts and serving others. October and November are Stewardship months at St. John’s. Members make both a financial pledge as well as a pledge of service to carry out the church’s work during the upcoming year. Psalms 5:3b reminds us that we should begin each day with thoughts of God and prayers to him. We should look for God’s touch in our daily lives.
Stewardship season begins on Sunday, October 9, with a congregational potluck and ends on November 13 with our traditional catered barbecue dinner.
Please prayerfully consider your pledge for 2012 and bring your pledge card/volunteer opportunities to Worship on November 13. If you forget, pledge cards and volunteer opportunities sheets will be available in the Narthex.
