White Blood Cells Needed

Dan Shaw is in need of white blood cells. He has a fungal growth that is quite serious since he has no white cells to speak of to fight the infection. The process is to go to MD Anderson’s Blood Bank at 2555 Holly Hall and donate platelets (2 hours). They test the platelets to see if you could be a donor. If approved, you go the day before donating and are screened for West Nile Virus and given a neuprogen shot and 2 Dexamethasone pills which greatly boosts the amount of white cells your donating. The donation begins at 8 am and takes three hours and Dan would receive the white cells at l:00 pm that afternoon.
