June 3 Weekly Reminders

Summer Brunches begin today: Make sure you stop by McPhail Hall after worship for delicious food, wonderful fellowship and cake! A donation to cover the cost of the food is appreciated. Everyone is welcome. Today’s brunch, served by the Caring Committee, will celebrate the 2012 Caring Person of the Year.

An interesting way to spend an evening: The book group meeting is Wednesday, June 6, 7:30 pm. The book is A Crime So Monstrous by E. Benjamin Skinner, published by Free Press. We meet to share coffee and thoughts about lots of topics. Come join us.

Church Beacon Newsletter: Please deliver all Beacon articles for the upcoming June/July issue by email (office.sjpc@gmail.com) or deliver to Room 208. The last chance to be part of this issue is June 10 at 12 Noon.

VBS Kitchen Assistants Needed: Two helpers are needed each night of Vacation Bible School (June 24 – 28) to assist in preparing food, setting up the buffet, serving and cleaning up. Usher Opportunities: The Worship Committee is looking for ushers for the upcoming summer months (June, July, August and September). Please contact the church office (office.sjpc@gmail.com) or talk to Lynne Parsons Austin.

Wonder Team Sandwich June Schedule: St. John’s will continue to make sandwiches during the summer months on our regular 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month at 6 pm. On June 25 sandwiches will be made in Room 209.
