Dear Friends of Braes Interfaith Ministries,
Once again the School Supply Committee has been making plans for our annual School Supply Program. As we have done in the past, our order based on a list supplied to us by HISD, has already been placed with Educational Products, Inc. (EPI). This was done in December so that we may receive an additional discount. We are fortunate to be able to work with this wholesaler and by packaging the items ourselves the cost is nearly one-half that of most retailers. The economy continues to be a problem for many and this past year has brought more clients to our doors seeking assistance. Braes Interfaith Ministries’ School Supply Program is one which benefits many of our clients’ children and of which we are most proud.
Last year we gave out supplies to over 1,100 children and this year we expect to see an increase in the number. Vouchers are issued beginning in April and the supplies will be handed out during the summer months.
Again, thank you. It is the faithful support of each of you and that of our coalition congregations that continue to make this program a success. You are truly a blessing to these children and to Braes Interfaith Ministries.
