Well, you are not alone! But wait, you can see one on Saturday, May 1, at Allen’s Landing by the Spaghetti Warehouse (901 Commerce St., 77002). The Pink Phurree (pronounced fury), Texas’ only year-round breast cancer survivor dragon boat team, will have their new dragon boat, The Pink Dragon, on display.
A dragon boat is an oversized canoe which holds 20 paddlers, one steersperson, and a drummer. Bring your lawn chairs, coolers, pink pom-poms and your cheering voice to cheer Virginia Krueger and her teammates on to victory. Other entertainment as well as food, drink, and restrooms are also available. Times are 8:30 am – 4:30 pm.
