Presbyterian Women’s Program
Presbyterian Women's Program
— Tuesday, April 20, 9:30 am
Please join us as we welcome Maria Trujillo. Maria is the director of the Houston Rescue and Restore Coalition. HRRC is a dedicated coalition of Houston-area non-profits, faith-based organizations, government agencies/entities and others whose mission is to confront modern-day slavery by educating the public, training professionals and empowering the community to take action.
Human trafficking is a modern-day form of slavery. Victims of human trafficking are subjected to force, fraud, or coercion for the purpose of sexual exploitation and/or forced labor. Victims are young children, teenagers, men and women, US citizens and foreign immigrants. Houston is a hub for human trafficking, and tackling this huge
problem requires a collaborative effort and the awareness of the public to look beyond the surface and uncover the many unseen victims.
All are invited to attend this informative talk and the luncheon which follows.
