Church Apartment Ministry Update

We’re moved into one new apartment, and it is lovely.

Thanks to Esther Bender, Pansy Meyer, Lynda Dyson, Ann Hardy, Elaine DeSouza, and Mark Swindler we were able to get moved and set up in one day. The new tenants, the Grafes, moved in the next day. The only problem is a mouse decided to also move in. I’m beginning to think Bill Grafe was having a nightmare when he saw the mouse. We have 4 traps and two sticky trays down and still haven’t caught the mouse!

We have always been aware the Holy Spirit has been with us on several occasions and once again it happened. On the Friday of the weekend of Alex and the big rainstorm Marie Kutz placed a new tenant in our apartment with the moving-in-day scheduled for Sunday. The patient was in town for treatment but was flying home for a short visit and returning on Sunday. When she and her daughter got to the airport, they discovered their flight was cancelled. They called Marie to see if they could have the apartment Friday. The patient has a feeding tube, but they were short on food, expecting to be at home where the cabinets were stocked. Would you believe there was a whole shelf of Ensure waiting for them in the pantry that someone else had left?

This ministry is a joy to be a part of, and we hope you keep up with your prayers for our tenants. — Sally Shaw
